Please Red Sox, please get Tim Wakefield his 200th win. It honestly has to be killing the Wake at this point. We all want it over with. We all want to write that stupid fluff piece about how much he has meant to the Red Sox. So, let's get that done tonight.
Sincerely,
BMack
The Sox are still a game up on the Yankees. You have to feel damn good about the Red Sox. They just ripped apart one of the best teams in the AL, they are back in first, and they are facing a team that let up 22 runs to the Yankees just yesterday.
Tonight we got the Wake and Gio Gonzalez. Gonzalez has not been himself lately. He had a 7.90 ERA and 18 walks while losing five straight starts, until Saturday when he threw a gem. Even better news for the Sox is that Gio has been terrible against them in his career (5.64 ERA in four career meetings).
The Wake has been well the Wake. He has let up at least 3 runs in each of his last 5 outings, but never more then 4. How's that for being consistent. He'll get his 200th win tonight, because the Sox are just crushing the ball, and everyone is fucking sick of the story.
Red Sox win 7-4
Player of the Game: Pedroia
Game starts 7:10pm
Side note: I guess I'll be on the field before the game representing some company. No idea about being on TV or anything, but if I am I'll be the douchebag in the Kevin Millar jersey.
