If Beckett Goes Down This Season Is Over

Josh Beckett will return to Boston Tuesday to have his right ankle examined after leaving the Red Sox' 1-0, 11-inning loss to the Blue Jays in the fourth inning due to what was classified as a sprained ankle. This better not be serious, because the Sox can't take any more hits to their rotation. Bedard is already going to miss at least one start, because his knee is acting up. Buchholz is still down and unlikely to make it back this season, and the rest of the rotation (other then Lester) blows.

Now the injury doesn't sound like it is will be a long term thing, but sprained ankles sometimes can seem very minor and then linger. So, how did Beckett hurt himself? "Beckett said that he fell in the bullpen trying to take a shirt off", like really dude?

Anyways if Beckett goes down this season is dead.
