5 Yankees, 2 Sox

I put 50% of this loss on Lackey, put 30% on the bats and the other 20% on Tito.

Lackey pitched horrible again, but that's expected and at this point we are used to it. He went 7 innings, gave up 5 runs, walked 4 and struck out 3. The only thing that I agree with is when Lackey pegged Fransisco Cervelli when he showed up the pitcher after hitting a bomb off him earlier in the game. After the pegging the benches cleared and unfortunately nothing happened.

The ninth had a little more drama as Mariano Rivera hit Salty on the wrist and was able to check his swing. Joe Girardi was ejected.

The frustrating thing about this game is the fact we had 13 hits and were only to score 2 runs. Our lack of being able to knock base runners in really hurt. They left the second and seventh innings with the bases loaded and finished the night going 2-for-13 with runners in scoring position.

I don't understand why Tito had Scutaro batting 2nd over Crawford. I know Crawford has been having an off year, but you would think you could flip flop them in the line up and that Crawford would benefit more from being protected than Scutaro. I would have also took Lackey out an inning earlier and would have pinch ran for Ortiz in the 7th.
