Vick and the Eagles agree to a 6 year/100 million dollar deal, 40 of that will be guaranteed. Vick guided the Eagles to an 8-3 record in 11 games as a starter in his first season playing full-time since 2006. He set career highs in yards passing (3,018), touchdowns passing (21), touchdowns rushing (9), completion percentage (62.6) and passer rating (100.2). Vick also rushed for 676 yards.
Not many players get 2 100 million dollar contacts but if you compare this deal and the deal he got in Atlanta it's pretty funny that he made more money per year with this Eagles deal based on 11 games. In Atlanta he got a 10 year, 130 million dollar deal with 37 million per year.
I like this signing for the Eagles because it makes them to commit to Vick's style of play. It's weird because I though Vick shouldn't be allowed to play football again once the whole dog fighting incident happened, however, I can't not root for Vick when he plays. He has me glued to the TV and I love the style of play.
