Last night the Red Sox blew the doors off of the Jays. The problem is the Red Sox seem to be an all or nothing team lately. They either crush the ball, or don't score at all. They need to be more consistent, especially with all the injuries to their pitching staff.
Tonight, once again the Wake goes for this 200th win. He has been trying to get to that mark since July 24th, during that stretch he is 0-3 with a 4.50 ERA. Not bad, but not great either. You know Wake is going to let up at least 4 runs when he pitches, so it's going to be up to the offense to actually show up tonight.
The offense will be going again Brandon Morrow. He's 1-5 with a 5.40 ERA in his last six outings, and you have to wonder if he is getting worn down as he approached 150 innings pitched this year. Morrow will strike a lot of guys out (172 in 148 innings), but he still lets up a lot of runs (4.78 ERA on the year).
I think Boston will be able to wear down Morrow and get the win tonight, and finally this whole 200th nonsense will be over.
Red Sox win 7-5
